A little sunshine

I need a little sunshine in my life at the moment- so much unhappiness lately, so I am ready to show off what I enjoy about life rather than dwelling on all that other stuff. :)  I'm fortunate I have my two favourite flowers, blooming up a storm!! First of all, my baskets of pansies on the front step. Love them!

This is the first year I've had these tulips really bloom. Love them too!

Sorry, they are a litte fuzzy, but they give you the idea at least of my front garden.

And, the view from my door step as I was leaving for work, May 18th. Sun comes up at about 5AM now.

And finally, my dogs love to hang with each other in the sun.

Spike loves being on the deck.

Murph, looking around.

Oh there you are Murphy!

Sophie, drying off in the sun. She loves to have a play in our paddling pool then dry in the sun.

My girls watching the neighbours cut their lawn.

And, after sunbathing comes napping on my bed. Spike and Murphy cuddled up together.

I am not so sure Murph likes being used a pillow but she stayed there for a long time!

I love that my dogs all get along so well and can hang out together with no problems. Nothing like a furry face to help a person feel better!

Jen, just catching up on your blog. My heart goes out to Tim and Erin and their neighbours. Turtle Gardens Animal Rescue, in Topley BC, has been evacuated as the floods take away their property too. Surprisingly, there's been little about the BC floods on our news - just the floods in the States. I didn't realize Tim and Erin were in Quesnel!
From past experience with flooding, BC provincial disaster relief is a joke. I hope your friends fare better than others I have known.
And, yes, when unhappiness begins to bog us down, how important it is to enjoy our animals, flowers, a little bit of sunshine.

Hanging with the dogs is one of the great joys in life.

Gotta agree with you; when life gets chaotic (and I'm with you there), there's nothing better than to look at one's beasties to bring out a smile. I love having the girls curl up next to me - it always makes me smile.

PS: Great pictures of the doggies!

I found your blog off of Pet Blogs United and have to admit I am a little overwhelmed at the quality and quantity of the offering.
I have recently started a blog devoted to pets. It is a little different in that what I do is search daily through 30 to 40 on line publications to find interesting articles related to pets in several areas. I try to post at least 6 to 8 per day with a description of the article and link to it. If you visit the site you will see a several day sampling of it and a statement at he beginning of what I hope to do. If you would care to look and let me know I would be honored.
Thank You
